The entire community of Norwell is invited to a Public Education Forum on Wednesday October 1 from 7:00-9:30PM in the Norwell Middle School Cafetorium. This will be the first of what is hoped to be an annual community dialogue about our schools.
The forum will begin with a presentation by the school's Leadership Team members (district administrators and principals) who will briefly discuss their job functions and responsibilities, major accomplishments of their schools, goals for 2008-09 and their needs and concerns for the future. Following the presentation, the School Committee will facilitate a question and answer session. They are seeking the public's opinion about Norwell School's which in turn will guide the committee as they develop programs and services to help all students and inform the upcoming school budget process.
This is an excellent opportunity for all citizens to become informed about our school system and to ask questions. A central tenet of the Norwell Public Schools' 20/20 Strategic Plan is to foster a strong partnership with the community through open communication. Two-way communication is vital to a strong partnership and it is hoped that this will be the first of many productive conversations.
